Hedmarktoppen
With a fantastic view over Hamar and the villages of Hedmark.
Situation:
Hedmarktoppen is idyllically locatdted approx. 3 km from the centre of Hamar. It is signposted from the E6 north of Hamar. The town has a railway connection. 70 km to Oslo Airport, Gardermoen.
The hotel:
A total of 144 beds in 57 double rooms, 12 single rooms and 6 three-bedded rooms. Cafeteria and dining room seating 300. Pleasant living rooms and fireside lounges very suitable for private events. There is also a 3-star campsite with 30 cabins and good sites for tents and caravans; 120 sites have power connection.
Conferences/meetings:
Hedmarkhallen, a large sports hall of international handball dimensions, can be adapted to a meeting hall seating 2,500 people. Adjacent 276 m2 gymnastics hall suitable for exhibitions, etc. Platform/stage up to 80 m2 in size. The sound quality has been tested by NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting) and has been improved for radio and TV recordings. There are also group rooms and cloakrooms within the hall. The venue is popular for conferences and meetings.
Attrations:
The nearest neighbour is Furuberget with its vast, beautiful forest terrain and touring trails. Swimming is possible at Domkirkeodden and at Ankerskogen, Scandinavia’s largest swimming centre. There are cathedral ruins dating from the Middle Ages at Hamar, as well as the Viking Ship, the Olympics centre.
